Horizon Networks wishes to update customers on the outage that occurred on Saturday, 1 July in Whakatāne.

cable fault caused 910 customers to be without power between 6:13 p.m. and 7:55 p.m. A further 950 customers were affected between 6:55 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. to temporarily isolate equipment following a report from the public. The majority of the Whakatāne township remained unaffected by the outages.

Horizon Networks apologises for the inconvenience this event may have caused, particularly to those rugby fans who were preparing to watch the All Blacks play the Lions. We thank you for your patience while the matter was being resolved.
