The acquisition of Airpro South Pacific by Horizon Energy Group through its subsidiary Aquaheat South Pacific Ltd on November 1, 2016 is a testament that the Fijian economy is stronger than ever.
These were the remarks made by the Assistant Minister for Health and Medical Services, Alex O’Connor, during the rebranding of Aquaheat South Pacific Ltd at the Radisson Blu Resort on Wednesday night.
“This very important occasion not only for Aquaheat South Pacific but I believe for the entire Fijian economy,” Mr O’Connor said.
He added the forefront of the Fijian Government had been to stimulate economic growth and building economic resilience.
“Integral to that has been our work delivering infrastructure projects to empower our people. The investment by Aquaheat means investing in our people, our families, our children, and our future.
“This investment into our economy means employment for our people, services for our industries and improved infrastructure/resources for the communities,” Mr O’Connor said.
Aquaheat SP Ltd is a New Zealand owned and operated, multi-disciplined building services contractor and facility services provider since 1950. They’re known as the premier HVAC/mechanical contractor in New Zealand.
It is headed by CEO Ajay Anand and general manager South Pacific Anusheel Chandra.
Mr Nand said they had faith in the Fijian Government and its economy.
He said: “We have Fiji at heart and intent to contribute to growing Fijian economy by retaining local employment and investing in their development.”
They are delivering HVAC/mechanical installation services from their Nadi and Suva based offices in Fiji.
There are multi-million dollar projects undertaken in different industries commercial buildings. American embassy, Suva central complex, Hotel and resort development’s — Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa, Fiji Marriott resort Momi Bay, Pearl Resort, retail — TappooCity Lautoka, specialist — moot south Pacific — Aquaheat has certified staff to work with hospital grade gas.
